At an award ceremony in Beijing, Baidu recognized Hylink with the “Golden Award” for brand marketing for our “Chevrolet Search Engine For Real Life: Baidu AR+Big Data” campaign.The purpose of the awards is to recognize agencies’ work and encourage creativity and innovation. The jury is comprised of professors from Peking University and Communications University of China, as well as agency executives and Baidu’s Internet industry experts.


Hylink’s objective of the campaign was to instill a deep brand understanding among consumers, guiding them along a curated self-discovery process. In November 2017, Chevrolet launched “Search Engine For Real Life,” positioning their vehicles’ role as real-life mechanisms of exploration, allowing people to venture into the beauty of real world.



The collaboration with Baidu, China’s number one search engine, presented an outstanding cross-promotion and co-branding opportunity. Chevrolet launched the campaign on Baidu search engine APP and customized content based upon user preferences generated from Baidu data. There were five interactive AR scenarios, as well as voice recognition technologies to make the exploration process interactive and experiential. The highly relevant, inspiring content generated a tremendous amount of social engagement. We were honored to have received this recognition from Baidu, which has inspired us to continue innovating and pushing creative boundaries in our work.
